Lyons Depot Library, Art-4-Art, Artist Trading Cards, Barbedwire Books, Longmont, Colorado, 3 to 4:30 p.m.

My first attempt at Blobimals based on the book, "Drawing and Painting Imaginary Animals," by Carla Sonheim.

Here is the adding of one eye after outlining the second color with orange and painting the background blue.

"What is the one thing that you have learned after the flood?"

"Security is not as important as I once thought."

"Always fill up your gas tank before it's half empty."

"Don't take anything for granted."

"Store pictures and precious things upstairs or at least on top shelves."

"Keep flashlights and batteries handy."

"Do it when you think about it (like test your generator before you need it)."

"Get a phone that plugs in to a jack (one that works without electricity)."

"Have a bag packed and ready to go at all times."

"Know where your important papers are and keep insurance policies handy."

"If you're alive, count yourself as one of the lucky ones."
