ATC As Sculpture: What a Great Idea!
Here are some ATC's from our April Trading Session at the Lyons Depot Library. The artist is the Town Librarian, Merlyn Williams. The patterns on each card in her series were colored with magic markers, each one just slightly different. She then cut the shapes into similar organic pieces. Using tab cuts for slots, the pieces for each card could then be assembled into a small sculpture. Each one was reassembled after being cut apart, and copied in color. This meant that you could keep the flat color copy in your notebook and enjoy the sculpture on your desk. I love this idea; it can be expanded and used in many different ways.
