Frame Up

  1. Wow Phyllis. What a neat idea to show the work in progress. Did you use a stencil for the frame?

  2. I used a glitter pen on the back side of black card stock to design the stencil-like frame with windows. Then I used an exacto knife to cut out the windows. I layed the completed stencil over the "mess painting" and scanned that image into my computer. Then I started cutting off the branches of the windows, one by one, each time scanning the image into the computer. Finally, all of the branches were gone and I removed the black frame and scanned the last image into the computer. Then I uploaded all the images backwards, the last one first, ending with the first image I had scanned in. The project evolved into deconstructing the frame over the image over time. Thanks for asking.
